Information we use
Gommie keeps a library on your device and uses your account to sync supported library data.

| Waitlist email | If you join the waitlist, we use your email to confirm your place and tell you when Gommie is ready. Supabase stores the waitlist, and our email delivery provider receives the address and message needed to send those emails. The operational alert contains only the updated signup count, not your email address. If you open gommie.page from a link we share, such as our TikTok profile, we save that link’s short label with your signup so we can see which channels bring people to the waitlist. |

| App usage | Gommie uses Supabase to measure onboarding, saves, reading and listening, feature use, purchase outcomes and errors. Reports include event times, app and OS versions, limited numbers such as reading duration, and installation and session IDs. Signed-in activity is linked to your account. Onboarding reports are separate from your account and survey answers. Reports do not include your name, email, saved URLs, article text, highlights, notes or letter contents. They help improve the app and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. |
Services & connections
Account and sync. Gommie uses Supabase for account services and library storage. Apple or Google handles the sign-in option you choose. Google Sign-In may use your IP address to estimate your general location for fraud prevention. App Store purchases are processed by Apple; Gommie uses purchase status to provide membership access.
Reading and listening. Fetching an article, image, podcast, video or transcript contacts the relevant publisher or hosting service. Those services receive normal network request information. Text-to-speech and local transcription run on your device; downloading content or models still uses a network connection.
Optional connections. Connecting Readwise Reader lets Gommie import your saved articles and their content and metadata. Connecting Notion sends the articles, highlights and notes covered by your export settings to Notion. Choosing an Obsidian folder writes exported files there. Copies in another service follow that service’s privacy policy and deletion controls.
Sharing a letter
A letter includes only the items and personal note you choose. Anyone who receives or has access to its shared link can view those contents, so review the letter before sharing it.
Shared-letter information is used to prepare and display the letter for its recipient. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a note or shared item.
Your choices
App usage reporting is on by default. You can turn off “Share app usage” in Settings. This stops new reports and clears reports waiting to be sent from that device. Your library and sync keep working. Turning it off does not delete reports already received.
You can manage notification permissions in iOS, disconnect optional exports, and choose what to save or share.
You can ask us to remove your waitlist email. For account or privacy requests, contact support@gommie.page.
Keeping & deleting data
Analytics events are retained for 14 months from when they happen. A daily cleanup deletes events older than this, including pre-sign-in onboarding events. Unsent reports stay on your device for up to seven days, with a limit of 500 events. Gommie keeps the date your account was first seen by analytics while the account exists, so returning accounts are not counted as new. Deleting your account removes its linked analytics events and first-seen date.
Signing out keeps the account’s local library on your device. Items in Recently Deleted can be restored during the app’s 30-day recovery period; removing an article does not automatically remove past reading history.
Waitlist emails, and the link label saved with them, are kept until launch communications finish or you ask us to remove yours. Other retention depends on the kind of information and why it is needed. Some records may remain for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or in backups for a limited period.
